Our contemporary soapstone is hand carved in Nairobi from soapstone that is all sustainably sourced in Kenya. Please note, the mouse is sold separately. Sustainably mined in Kenya, soapstone is a beautifully tactile metamorphic rock with an appearance similar to marble. The natural variations in the surface are part of its unique beauty. Soapstone is non-porous and heat-resistant, making it great for a wide range of uses. Soapstone is a natural material, therefore each cat will have a unique colouring and pattern.
